Time flies by. As I sit in my office, gazing at the deepening autumn colors outside the window, a myriad of thoughts surge through my mind. Over these days, I have been pondering some fundamental questions: What is the significance of our existence at Tortai Technologies? What are our goals and values? How should we confront the current challenges? And how should we plan for the future path?

These thoughts kept me awake at night and made me deeply aware of the responsibility and mission as an enterprise leader. Today, I would like to share my thoughts through this letter and also hope to have an in-depth spiritual conversation with each team member.

First of all, I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to each and every one of you present here. It is precisely because of your hard work, professional skills and selfless dedication that Tortai Technologies has been able to establish a firm foothold in the fiercely competitive market and has been able to win the trust and recognition of customers. Whenever I see our products being delivered smoothly, see the satisfied smiles of the customers, and see the professional attitude and dedication shown by the team members in their work, I am deeply proud and honored for this team.

Our team is stable, experienced and responsible. From technicians to managers, from the production line to the logistical support, everyone plays an irreplaceable role in their respective positions. We have a good atmosphere of mutual cooperation and mutual achievement, and everyone strives towards a common goal – that is, to serve our customers well and create greater value.

However, in this rapidly changing era, we cannot be content with the status quo or remain in our comfort zone. I am well aware that only by constantly evaluating ourselves, challenging ourselves, and improving ourselves can we remain invincible in the future competition. This is the theme I want to share with you today – to grow upwards.

To grow upwards means that we need to have higher aspirations, broader goals, and stronger capabilities. It is not merely about achieving greater achievements, or advancing in technology, but also about elevating our thinking, expanding our horizons, and enhancing our spiritual realm. This is a challenging process, but also an opportunity-filled one. I believe that as long as we unite as one, face challenges bravely, we will definitely be able to achieve this goal.

Looking back on the journey: Our growth trajectory

Let’s first take a look at the path that Tortai Technologies has taken. From its inception to today, we have faced numerous ups and downs, and have also gained valuable experience and achievements. This journey is not only the history of the company’s development, but also a testament to the growth of each of us.

Do you still remember our original entrepreneurial concept? We aimed to create real value for our customers through technology, quality and service. This concept may seem simple, but to truly achieve it requires tremendous effort and perseverance. During those difficult times, we adopted the “fighting for survival” strategy, using the profits from the trade item business to subsidize our PCBA processing business. This strategy seemed like a desperate move at the time, but looking back now, it has become one of the key factors for our success.

Although our trade business accounts for only a little over a quarter of the total business volume, it brings us more than a quarter of the profits. It is these profits that enable us to go to great lengths to meet customers’ requirements when undertaking PCBA processing business, and to strive for excellence in terms of quality and service. We have the financial resources to cover the expenses of a large number of indirect staff, including customer service, engineering support, human resources, system management and other professionals in various fields. These seemingly cost-related investments are actually important guarantees for us to serve customers and enhance our competitiveness.

During this process, we gradually developed our own unique business philosophy: technology enhances quality, quality improves service, and service creates value. This is not just a meaningless slogan; it is a truth we have discovered through practice. Because only when your technology and craftsmanship can reach the level required by the customers can you have the opportunity to provide services to them; only when your quality can exceed customers’ expectations can you win their trust; only when your service can create real value for customers can you obtain continuous cooperation opportunities.

We have always adhered to the principle of prioritizing technology. We continuously delve into technology and craftsmanship, and increase our investment in technical personnel and related equipment. We are well aware that in this rapidly evolving industry, technology is the foundation for our existence and the core competitive advantage in our competition. Without strong technical capabilities, we cannot undertake high-difficulty projects, cannot meet the increasingly rising demands of customers, and cannot stand out in the fierce market competition.

In terms of quality management, we implement a full inspection system for almost all of our products, strictly adhering to quality standards and even exceeding the quality requirements of our customers. This approach may seem excessive and costly to outsiders, but it is precisely this pursuit of ultimate quality that has earned us high recognition from our customers. We have many customers who have cooperated with us for ten or even more years. This long-term and stable partnership is based on our consistent quality assurance.

Our customer base is continuously expanding, and our cooperative relationships are deepening. This gives us sufficient confidence to sustain a good operation of the company, and also enables us to increase investment and have hope for the future. Every long-term cooperative customer is the best proof of our technical strength and service level, and is also the source of motivation for us to move forward.

In terms of team building, we have always been committed to ensuring that all employees can enjoy the benefits brought about by the company’s development. We have established various incentive measures to enable everyone to receive recognition for their hard work, which also encourages more people to work better and creates a virtuous positive feedback loop. We believe that only by allowing everyone to share in the achievements of the enterprise can we truly stimulate their enthusiasm and creativity at work.

In terms of the business development direction, we have clear control over it. We screen our clients, industries, and even the terms of cooperation, and have our own principles and bottom lines. We never make concessions without limits, whether in terms of price or payment conditions. We hope to establish an equal cooperative relationship with our clients, so that we can also offer better cooperation conditions to suppliers and receive strong, comprehensive and positive support from them. This approach has enabled us to form a virtuous cycle: we treat suppliers well, and suppliers fully support us; we provide excellent services to clients, and clients trust and rely on us.

Looking back on this development process, I deeply realize that every achievement we have made is inseparable from the efforts and contributions of every member of the team. What we have established is not merely an enterprise, but rather a big family with shared values, common goals and a common culture. We have our own unique corporate culture and characteristics, which is our IP – the label attribute that we have in the eyes of suppliers and customers.

Examining the Present: Opportunities and Challenges Coexist

However, when we look back at our past achievements, we must also be aware of the current reality. The world today is no longer the same as when we started our business, and the market environment has undergone profound changes. We must view the current situation with a more discerning eye and face the upcoming challenges with an open mind.

First of all, we are confronted with a volatile and complex international situation. In our business structure, direct or indirect export business accounts for nearly 80% of the total. This means that our fate is closely linked to the changes in the international market and is closely related to the fluctuations of the global economy. Factors such as trade frictions, exchange rate fluctuations, supply chain restructuring, and geopolitical conflicts may all have a significant impact on our business. We must remain vigilant and be prepared to deal with all kinds of uncertainties at all times.

At the same time, we are also under pressure for internal development. As the company continues to grow, we need to increase the income and welfare benefits of our employees. This is our commitment to the team members and our responsibility. However, to achieve this goal, we must enhance the value and technical level of our business, and must undertake projects with higher added value, higher technical content, and higher requirements. This is like a spiral upward process. Each improvement requires us to make greater efforts and face greater challenges.

However, the reality is harsh. The speed at which our team changes and improves, including the upgrading speed of our supply chain, does not match the increase in the difficulty of customer projects. This mismatch has led us to feel increasingly overwhelmed, to find the projects increasingly difficult to handle, and to encounter more and more obstacles. This is not an issue with a single person or a single department; it is a systemic challenge faced by our entire system.

Our original business system, operation procedures, business concepts and ideas have played a significant role in our past development. However, in the current environment, they are no longer fully capable of adapting to the changes of the company, customers and the development of the business. We need to conduct profound reflection and adjustment. We need to embrace change bravely while maintaining our excellent traditions.

What is even more serious is that the average age of our entire team is constantly increasing, showing a clear trend of aging. The problems brought about by this trend are multifaceted: team members lack vitality, their ability to learn new technologies and knowledge is declining, their adaptability to changes is weakening, and even they lack positive initiative and the motivation for innovation in their work. This is a problem that we must face squarely, and it is also a key issue related to the future development of the enterprise.

In terms of technological development, we are also facing significant challenges. Customers have increasingly higher demands for technology, stronger expectations for innovation, and more complex requirements for solutions. Can our technological reserves, R&D capabilities, and innovation levels keep up with these changes? Do our technical teams have the ability to cope with future challenges? These are all questions that we need to deeply consider.

In terms of market competition, the pressure we are facing is also increasing continuously. More and more competitors are entering the market. Some of them have more advanced technologies, some have lower costs, and some have stronger capital strength. How can we maintain our advantages in such a competitive environment? How can we find our unique competitiveness? How can we establish core capabilities that are difficult to replicate?

However, challenges often coexist with opportunities. It is precisely because of the changes in the market environment and the upgrading of customer demands that we have the possibility to move to a higher level. If we can successfully handle these challenges, we will be able to achieve a qualitative leap and transform from a traditional OEM company to a solution provider with core competitiveness.

We possess years of accumulated technical capabilities, stable and reliable customer relationships, an experienced team, and a good corporate culture. All these are valuable resources for us to overcome challenges and important foundations for seizing opportunities. The key lies in whether we can fully leverage these advantages and whether we can find new development paths in the process of change.

I often ask myself, and I also wonder about everyone else: Have we truly understood our current situation? Do we clearly know what we should do? Have we been fully prepared to face these challenges? Do we have enough courage, confidence and determination to confront the uncertainties of the future?

These questions do not have a single correct answer, but they require each of us to think carefully and for us as a team to confront them together. Because only when we have a clear understanding of the current situation and have made adequate preparations for the challenges can we formulate the right strategies and find a successful path.

Looking to the Future: Strategic Choices for Growth

In the face of current challenges and opportunities, we must make clear strategic choices. After thorough consideration and analysis, I firmly believe that the future direction of Tortai Technologies should be “growing upwards” – not just in terms of performance and technology, but also in terms of business thinking and development pattern.

First of all, let’s re-examine and redefine our corporate mission and vision. The purpose of Tortai Technologies is not merely to make profits; rather, it is to create genuine value for our customers through our technology and services, contribute to the development of the industry, and assume our responsibilities for the progress of society. Our vision is to become a respected enterprise, one that can continuously innovate, and one that can grow together with our customers, employees, and suppliers.

Our core values remain technology, quality and service. However, in the new era context, we need to give these values deeper meanings. Technology is not merely the exquisite craftsmanship; it is also the ability to innovate, the wisdom to solve problems, and the power to lead the industry. Quality is not merely the perfection of the product; it is the excellence of service, the fulfillment of promises, and the guarantee of reputation. Service is not merely meeting demands; it is creating value, establishing partnerships, and achieving common development.

In terms of business development direction, we aim to transform from a technology outsourcing provider to a solution provider. This is a challenging but necessary process, and it is also an opportunity-filled process. Although the traditional outsourcing model has laid a solid foundation for us, its development space is limited and the profit margin is constantly shrinking. However, the solution provider model enables us to be more deeply involved in our clients’ business, to provide them with more comprehensive and professional services, and to obtain higher added value and more stable income.

This transformation is not achieved overnight. It requires us to make systematic improvements in multiple aspects. The first is the enhancement of technical capabilities. We cannot be content with the current level of technology; instead, we need to continuously learn new technologies, master new processes, and develop new products. We should increase investment in research and development, establish a stronger technical team, and form a more complete innovation system.

The next aspect is the enhancement of service capabilities. We need to shift from merely providing manufacturing services to offering comprehensive technical services, and be able to offer customers a full-process service ranging from product design, process development, production manufacturing to quality control. We must deeply understand the needs of our clients and proactively provide solutions for them, becoming an indispensable partner for our clients.

The next aspect is the enhancement of management capabilities. As the complexity of business increases, we need more refined management, more efficient processes, and more scientific decision-making mechanisms. We should establish a modern management system, utilize advanced management tools, and cultivate professional management talents.

Based on this understanding, this year we made an important decision – to introduce an external professional consulting company to systematically review, standardize and optimize the entire management system of our company. This management reform is not a simple patch-up, but a profound management revolution. It is an important step for us to move towards modern enterprise management.

Through several months of in-depth cooperation, the external consulting company helped us re-examine our management processes, optimize our organizational structure, improve our institutional framework, and enhance our management efficiency. More importantly, this transformation enabled us to learn to think and solve management problems using more scientific and systematic methods. We no longer solely rely on experience and intuition; instead, we began to apply modern management theories and tools, using data to speak, processes to guarantee, and systems to regulate.

The outcome of this management reform is remarkable. What’s more important is that it has laid a solid management foundation for our future development. We now have a clearer organizational structure, a more efficient workflow, and a more scientific decision-making mechanism. These changes not only enhance our work efficiency, but more importantly, provide us with a strong management guarantee to cope with future challenges.

In terms of product development, we need to gradually shift from purely outsourcing to developing our own products. This is a more challenging goal, but it is also a more strategically significant choice. Our own products can not only bring us higher profits, but more importantly, they can enable us to gain the initiative in the market, establish our own brand influence, and form a unique competitive advantage.

Of course, we will not abandon our existing manufacturing business. Instead, we will expand into new business areas while maintaining the stable development of our current operations. We aim for diversified growth, having both stable core businesses and innovative growth points, as well as short-term revenue guarantees and long-term development potential.

In terms of talent cultivation, we urgently need to make the team younger. We should formulate a systematic talent recruitment plan and actively recruit young, energetic and highly capable individuals. At the same time, we should also provide more learning opportunities and development space for the existing team members, helping them enhance their skills, adapt to changes and realize their personal value.

We need to establish a more comprehensive training system, which should include not only technical training but also management training; not only internal training but also external training; not only theoretical learning but also practical exercises. We should make learning an important part of our corporate culture, so that everyone can grow through learning and contribute in the process.

In terms of supply chain management, we need to establish closer cooperative relationships and more efficient collaboration mechanisms. We should jointly develop with suppliers and enhance together, forming a common interest group. We should help suppliers improve their technical and management levels, and at the same time, we also require suppliers to provide us with better products and services.

In terms of customer relationship management, we need to shift from the traditional buyer-seller relationship to a strategic partnership. We should deeply understand the customers’ strategic plans and proactively provide support for their development. We should establish long-term and stable cooperative relationships with the customers, achieving common development and growth together.

In terms of technological innovation, we need to establish a more open innovation system. We should not only rely on our internal R&D capabilities, but also establish cooperative relationships with universities, research institutions, and other enterprises to form an integrated innovation model of industry-university-research. We should pay attention to the development trends of the industry and grasp the direction of technological development, achieving breakthroughs in key technology fields.

In terms of market expansion, we should consolidate the existing markets and actively explore new market areas. We need to pay attention to the development opportunities in emerging industries and the market demands for new technologies. We should seek new growth points. At the same time, we should also consider the possibility of international development and look for cooperation opportunities globally.

These strategic choices seem very grand, and their implementation does indeed present significant challenges. But I believe that as long as we have clear goals, firm determination, scientific methods, and the power of unity, we will definitely be able to achieve these goals. Because we have profound technical accumulation, rich management experience, a stable customer base, and an excellent team culture. All of these are the foundation for our success and the source of our confidence.

To achieve the strategic goal of “growing upwards”, it is not the responsibility of just one person or a certain department. It requires the joint efforts of all of us. First of all, I hope everyone can enhance their learning ability. In this rapidly changing era, learning ability is more important than the existing knowledge. Technology is constantly evolving, the market is constantly changing, and customer demands are constantly upgrading. If we cannot keep learning, we will be eliminated by the times. Learning is not only about mastering new technologies and knowledge, but also about cultivating new ways of thinking, establishing new cognitive frameworks, and forming new working methods.

We should learn to study actively instead of passively accepting. We should learn to study systematically instead of absorbing knowledge in a scattered manner. We should learn to study through practice instead of merely theorizing. We should regard learning as a habit, a responsibility and a pleasure. Only in this way can we continuously grow in the process of change and constantly progress in the face of challenges.

Secondly, I hope everyone can enhance their adaptability. Change means alteration, and change often brings discomfort and difficulties. Whether it is product quality or service quality, we must strive for excellence and pursue perfection. We should integrate the quality awareness into every work process and reflect it in every work detail.

2、 we need to have an awareness of efficiency. In the highly competitive market environment, efficiency often determines success or failure. We should constantly optimize our work processes, enhance our work efficiency, and reduce operational costs. We should learn to accomplish more in less time and create greater value with lower costs.

3、 one must have an innovative mindset. Innovation is the driving force for the development of enterprises and an important weapon for us to tackle challenges. We should be bold in breaking conventions, courageous in trying new methods, and eager to explore new possibilities. Innovation doesn’t have to be revolutionary; even small improvements and optimizations can be valuable innovations.

It is particularly worth noting that, in conjunction with this management reform, we have comprehensively improved and upgraded the original assessment and evaluation system as well as the partnership mechanism. As early as several years ago, we began to explore the implementation of the partnership mechanism, hoping to enable more outstanding employees to share the fruits of the company’s development. Through the practice over the past few years and this systematic optimization, our partnership mechanism has become more mature and complete.

Our goal is clear: In the future development process, we should distribute benefits more fairly, ensuring that those who truly create value for the company receive the appropriate rewards and recognition. What kind of people will be recognized by the company and receive more benefits?

First, there are those who do things seriously. Being serious is not just an attitude, but also a quality. No matter the size of the job or the position, as long as one can treat every task seriously and complete each task meticulously, such a person deserves our respect and utilization.

The next group are those who are dedicated to their work. Effort is not merely about the investment of time; it is also about the dedication of one’s heart and soul. Those who are willing to work overtime to achieve work goals, who are diligent in striving for customer satisfaction, and who go all out for the development of the enterprise – their efforts are all witnessed and cherished by us.

Next are those who can propose innovative solutions. Innovation is the driving force for the development of enterprises. We need those who are willing to think, brave in innovation, and skilled at improvement. Whether it is technological innovation, management innovation, or service innovation, as long as it can bring value to the enterprise and create convenience for customers, we will fully support and reward such innovations.

There are also those who consider the company’s development and keep their actions and interests in line with the company’s goals. The development of an enterprise requires that everyone can think from the perspective of the company and be able to integrate their personal development with the company’s development. Those who can proactively offer suggestions for the company’s development and stand by the company’s side through thick and thin are our most valuable assets.

Equally important are those who think about the customers and have a strong sense of customer service. Customers are the foundation of our existence and the basis for our development. Those who can truly consider issues from the customers’ perspective, who can proactively provide high-quality services to customers, and who can step forward to help when customers encounter difficulties – these people embody the core values of our enterprise.

We should also give importance to those who actively exert their initiative and strive to create value for the company and its clients. Passive execution and active creation are two completely different working states. What we need are those who can actively identify problems, solve problems, and create value.

Furthermore, those who are dedicated to maintaining the corporate image and actively promoting the positive culture and values of the company will also receive our special recognition. Corporate image and culture represent our soft power, and it is necessary for everyone to become the disseminators of corporate culture and the defenders of the corporate image.

Finally, we place great emphasis on those who are good at learning and constantly grow and progress. In this rapidly changing era, the ability to learn determines a person’s potential for development.
