Samson Shi’s career in the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry began not in an executive boardroom, but on the production floor as a frontline engineer. Having started his career in Taiwanese-invested and American-managed electronics enterprises, Samson developed a deep-seated respect for rigorous process specifications, strict quality metrics, and structured logistics systems.

Throughout his 18-year journey, Samson cross-trained across technical engineering, commercial client relations, and supply chain management. This versatile background taught him a critical industry lesson: reliable hardware isn’t created by merely pushing buttons on advanced machines; it requires disciplined processes, proactive risk analysis, and absolute personal accountability.

In 2008, Samson founded Tortai Technologies with a strict business boundary: zero tolerance for low-margin, price-sensitive consumer commodities. Instead, he focused the company’s entire resources on highly demanding sectors where failures are not an option, including Medical Electronics (ISO 13485 standards), Industrial Control systems, New Energy, and Automotive Electronics. Under his hands-on leadership, Tortai has become the go-to manufacturing partner for global engineering teams seeking predictable, stress-free deliveries.
